Fretwise turns the iPhone into an everyday guitar tool: it tunes the instrument, presents 168 chords and 840 distinct shapes, maps scales across the fretboard and listens to each note during a guided exercise. Everything runs on the device, with a strong focus on clarity, accessibility and privacy.

From tuning to practice, without switching apps
Guitar practice is often split across separate apps, diagrams and videos. Fretwise brings the essential tools into one consistent space, helping players move naturally from tuning to chords, scales and rhythm practice.
The tuner analyses microphone input in real time. The chord library provides clear diagrams and audio previews, while interactive scale maps show exactly where each note belongs on the fretboard. In Scale Trainer, the app guides the player note by note, checks the target pitch and octave, and combines practice with a metronome, immediate feedback and local personal results.
Fretwise is designed for beginners who need clear guidance, self-taught players learning from several sources and guitarists who want a more structured daily routine without being locked into a prescribed lesson path.

30–240 BPM, subdivisions down to sixteenths, tap tempo and offline click synthesis with no external audio service.

Audio is analysed in device memory: no recordings, no cloud upload, no account, no tracking.
